• Comparison of photosynthetic efficiencies of light sources. • Assessment of drift in incidental radiation. • Design of lighting arrays in greenhouses. • Prediction, over a period of photosynthetic activity in fluctuating light environments such as beneath plant canopies. • Plant ecology studies.
This sensor with its measuring unit equates the photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) which occurs in the waveband of 400 - 700 nm, to the photosynthetic response of plants. The units displayed show the integrated area under the PAR curve and the range switch gives 3 decades of sensitivity.
The sensor has a cosine-corrected head, and the FET input circuitry of the measuring and display unit, preserves linearity. The unit also incorporates dual slope integration with "auto zero" for A/D conversion.
Further Information
This is a precise mounting unit with adjustable feet and spirit level for ensuring the sensors of the various instruments are presented in the correct plane.
